Oman Offroad Adventures (EDIT/ DELETE SUB)
RAHORAC came into existence over “XX” (EDIT) years ago to reflect and share travels and experience in Oman. It has evolved to include wadi trips, mountains and deserts. Its flagship event remains the Wahiba Challenge and within recent years has expanded to include an extreme version (XWC) and a shorter Wahiba Challenge Lite.
An objective here is not to detract from organised trips, but instead to add trips that club members can enjoy as private trips or even solo trips. In addition we invite feedback on how to improve this selection and also to improve existing trips. Share your experience with us…..

Objectives?
To Give Members an Opportunity to Travel with Peace of Mind (EDIT)
to Provide tried and tested routes
All routes and suggested visits described here have been tried and tested. Any safety issues are highlighted and members are invited to feedback good and bad experiences.
to allow users to update routes
RAHORAC members are invited to add or criticise routes and places and to add side trips or better places to stop, viewpoints, campl locations etc
members can suggest nearby attractions
Add some extra attractions for those who like to wander. Views, places of interest etc
Share that newly discovered pool, picnic spot or campsite.
Safety Comes First
As mentioned all routes are tried and tested but occassionaly graded roads may fall into disrepair or wadis that have flooded my alter suitability to drive. Members can feedback and update on the latest situation.

Share your knowledge with others about wildlife or geology and perhaps even history of local forts etc.
Small Groups
Is the route safe for kids and animals? Can you camp? Are there limits on how many vehicles or how many tents?
